Sprayed with Love

Elle Pierson is an extraordinary young lady. She is 13 years old and already making a difference in the world. Elle’s 11 year old sister Saylor, was born with a heart condition that has required numerous surgeries and treatments throughout her young life. Elle has watched her sister go through so much and she is so grateful to the doctors, nurses and staff at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, who have taken such good care of Saylor.

Last year Elle became a CHLA Junior Ambassador. A program that empowers kids and teens to represent the hospital community by speaking at various events, sharing their stories and inspiring more than $2 million in donations to support the patients and families.

Elle wanted to think of a fun way to fund raise for the hospital. She has always loved creating art and started experimenting with spray paint and stencils. The result turned out looking really cool. Now she customizes totes and pouches for companies and individuals and gives all of the proceeds to CHLA.

Christopher Pierson, Elle’s dad, is VP of Land Acquisition at Intracorp and The Isle at Mariner Shores is thrilled to support Elle and CHLA with an order to use as part of our homeowner gift. If you would like to place an order with Elle, please reach out via Instagram – @sprayed.with.love …to help save lives, one bag at a time.

Highlight Mid-Century Residence 3x

A peek into our third model designed by Blackband Design at The Isle at Mariner Shores in Newport Beach. The team imagined with three unique farmhouse styles to theme each of our model residences. We featured Residence 1X – The Bohemian and Residence 2X – The Classic in the last two month’s blogposts, this month we are highlighting the final model, Residence 3X – The Mid-Century.

This home mixes geometric patterns (kitchen backsplash, main shower, entry hex flooring), a vibrant color palette and stain grade cabinetry (kitchen and main bath) to create a modern, yet retro vibe. Attention to clean lines, organic shapes, lighter feeling furniture pieces and a mix of metals brought the look together in a cool and comfortable way.

Wendy Blackband creative crushes…
• Kelly Wearstler… always!
• Christian Liaigre has been a consistent source of inspiration. He’s recently passed on, but his designs will live forever.
• Sinclair Associates Architects – Rob never fails to inspire with interesting perspectives… you can see on Instagram

Highlight Classic Farmhouse Residence 2x

We partnered with Blackband Design to do the interiors for our models at The Isle at Mariner Shores in Newport Beach. The team came up with three unique farmhouse styles to theme each of our model residences. Last month we featured Residence 1X – The Bohemian and this month we are highlighting Residence 2X – The Classic.

This home is all about timeless staples inspired by seaside living (blue hues, pebble flooring, whitewashed brick); layers of muted, calming colors, earth tones, weathered wood and classic detailing/patterns (such as stripes). Vintage style was mixed throughout the home to add that extra dose of curated comfort.

Wendy Blackband let’s us in on some of the hottest design trends…

• Rounded, soft lines incorporated into sofas, dressers, tables, patterns and accessories

• Creating workspaces in our homes that allow for quiet and privacy

• Complex furnishings – designed with a mixed materials (metals & leathers) and intricate details (channeling and geometric shapes)

Don’t miss next month’s blog post as we highlight our third model – Residence 3X. In the meantime, make an appointment to tour The Isle at Mariner Shores models by visiting our website:

Highlight Boho Residence 1x

We couldn’t have selected a more synergistic interior design firm for The Isle at Mariner Shores. Blackband Design, based in Newport Beach, has the So Cal coastal aesthic down. Owners Wendy and Greg Blackband have worked and lived in South OC for decades. Wendy grew up on Balboa Island and they still call the quaint little inlet home. What started as a furniture store (as a way to escape corporate life) nearly 20 years ago, has become a thriving interiors business. One of their local claims-to-fame is designing one of the cottages at the Lido House Hotel. We partnered with them to create our Coastal Farmhouse Townhomes as the ultimate beach house experience.

The Blackband design team came up with three unique farmhouse styles to theme each of our model residences. Here we are going to share Residence 1X – The Bohemian. This home features natural/woven materials and textures (kitchen island pendants, strappy bed frame, rattan daybed, outdoor furniture), with a fun mix of sun-kissed colors and patterns (textiles, art, accessories). It’s bright, breezy, care-free and relaxed.

The best nugget of design advice that Wendy Blackband gives is, “Tap into the things that bring you joy. Create spaces that reflect your interests and that work for your unique lifestyle.”

Be on the lookout in the coming weeks as we highlight our other models – Residence 2X and Residence 3X. In the meantime, make an appointment to tour The Isle at Mariner Shores models by visiting our website:

Let’s Get Organized

It’s a new year, filled with promise and plenty of new resolutions.  Why not make 2021 your year to get organized?  At The Isle at Mariner Shores, new townhomes in Newport Beach, Intracorp Homes is partnering with California Closets, the leading manufacturer of luxury storage solutions, to create optimal spaces for the ultimate in organization potential.  Whether you are a fashion diva or a pack rat, we’ve got a solution for you.

One of the best things about moving into a new home is that you get to start fresh. It’s an opportunity to clean out your closet, garage and pantry and eliminate anything that doesn’t, in the words of Marie Kondo, founder of The Konmari Method, “Spark joy.” Then you determine a place for everything, making it functional and beautiful.  Awe… that feeling, right?!

So whether you are looking to make a move this year or you just want to lighten your load, here are a few tips that can get you started.

1. Tackle one room, closet or cabinet at a time

2. Visualize your perfectly decluttered home and ask yourself these questions about each item:

    • Do I use/wear this often?
    • Does it have meaning or sentimental value?
    • Can someone else use this item more than I am using it?

3. Separate your items by – KEEP / DONATE / RECYCLE OR TRASH

4. Take your donation items to your charity of choice right away and recycle or dispose of that pile immediately as well. This way you have already eliminated much and you can focus on only the things you are keeping.

There are so many organizational systems and methods you can use. For tips and inspiration peruse the California Closets online magazine – Ideas of Order https://www.ideasoforder.com/ and follow them on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/caclosets/

It’s always a big undertaking, but when it’s done you will have made space for what matters most. A home that is filled with just what you need and love. Big exhale!
